Live broadcast, February 16 according to ESPN, Michael Jordan will donate $10 million to the Wish Foundation (Make-A-Wish) on Thursday to celebrate his 60th birthday. This is also the largest personal donation received by the organization since its establishment.
Jordan hopes that this decision can inspire others to help those children who are still waiting for their dreams to come true realize their wishes. He said at the press conference: “In the past 34 years, I am honored to cooperate with the Wish Foundation to bring smiles and happiness to so many children. I feel very inspiring to see their strength and tenacity in such a difficult time in life.
“Seeing other people support the wish foundation with me, so that every child can experience the magic of dreams come true. I can’t think of a better birthday gift than this.” Jordan continued.
