When talking about wearing the No. 35 shirt after joining the Suns, Durant said: “I wanted to continue wearing the No. 7 shirt in the Suns, but the No. 7 shirt has been retired here, so I can only wear size 35.”
In 2001, the Suns held a retirement ceremony for Kevin Johnson’s No. 7 jersey. Kevin Johnson has played in the sun for 12 seasons and can get an average of 18.7 points and 9.5 help.
