Marbury was born in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York, New York, USA on February 20, 1970. In the 1996 NBA draft, he was selected Bucks team in the fourth place in the first round and then traded to the Timberwolves. Marbury’s NBA career has successively worked for Timberwolves, basketable nets, Sun, Knicks and Celts. During this period, Marbury was selected into the NBA All-Star team twice, and was selected into the NBA best team three times twice. He played 846 games and scored 16297 points. The game averaged 19.3 points, 3 rebounds, 7.6 assists, 1.2 steals, field goal percentage, 43.3%, 32.5% in three points, and 78.4% in free throws.
On January 27, 2010, Marbury signed a contract with Shanxi men’s basketball and officially landed in CBA. During his stay in CBA, he successively worked in Shanxi, Foshan (now Guangzhou), Beijing and Beijing control men’s basketball. Marbury led Beijing to win the CBA championship three times in 2012, 2014 and 2015 respectively. The CBA career was selected into the CBA All-Star lineup six times in total. In 2015, Marbury won the regular season, all-star and Finals MVP. On February 11, 2018, Marbury officially announced his retirement in North control.
On June 24, 2019, Marbury officially became the head coach of Beijing control men’s basketball. So far this season, the North control led by him has temporarily ranked 16th with a record of 11 wins and 17 losses.
