Live broadcast, February 11 -van der Bilt, a new Lakers aid, talked about his views on joining the Lakers in an interview. He said he could defend multiple positions and bring help to the team.
Vanderbilt thinks the Lakers will be relieve a garrison in defense, which is one of his advantages: “For me, I think it (position) is interchangeable. I think I can defend multiple positions. Many of our players are versatile and competent for multiple positions. As I said, I am a basketball player. As long as you throw me on the court, I can figure it out. I think I complement many people in the team. As I said, I don’t pay much attention to these positions. Just send me to play and be a basketball player.”
When asked whether playing for the Lakers meant pressure, Vanderbilt said he was looking forward to such a challenge: “I won’t say it’s pressure, but it does have different energies. Many people are staring at us and have a lot of expectations for us. But as a basketball player, this is the meaning of your life. As I said, I am very happy to be here. I will do my best to help the team win.”
“I want to communicate with James and heavy eyebrows, show energy, contribute rebound and defense. I think this is my strong point. I think I can help them and other players in the team. As I said, I am just super excited to show my talent here.” Vanderbilt continued.
Vanderbilt came to the Lakers from the Jazz with Malik Beasley on the trade deadline. Both of them and Russell worked in Timberwolves.
