After the game, former Nuggets coach George Carl wrote: “It is really special to win 40 in the All-Star Game. This may be the strongest nuggets in history, but they must be better than 1976, the Nuggets in 1985 and 2009 went further, and they could do it!”
So far in the season, the Nuggets have ranked first in the West with 40 wins and 18 losses. They have also become the second team in the post-Celtics league to win 40 wins this season.
