Jordan: If you play for data in 93 years, you will not retire. The data you care about is victory and champion.

Michael Jordan talked about his views on data in a previous interview.

“Well, that was never my driving force…… As long as you make efforts, data will naturally accumulate, and you don’t need to care about it. If you work hard, good things will happen naturally. If I am played for data, I would not choose to retire in 1993 (If I ‘d play for the stats,I ‘d never retreat in 1993). Perhaps I am still chasing Chamberlain or Jabbar’s historical scoring record, but this is not my driving force. Of course, for some people who don’t know me, the data may define some of me. For example, those who don’t know Jordan 20 years later see my data, he will think this man is really hanging. This is what I think is the significance of the data. Besides, I only care about the championship and victory. The most important data for me is the game played you won and the number of championship rings you won.”

Michael Jordan retired twice in 1993 and 1998, and then returned twice. His career score was 32292 points, ranking fifth in history.
